Passion. You have to have a passion for what you do. I love what I do and it comes across in my work.
It's not all broken ribs and bloody noses. I love to train and Karate is a great source of inspiration. My Sensei told me once that he was going to teach me how to "Walk without falling and stand without leaning." I love that.
Teacher or student, I learn. Students have a way of getting into situations and then turning to you and asking "How do I undo this?" I learn more from that than I did in any classroom.
"What can you draw?" I always get this question. My answer is simple..."anything". Then the problem arises when all my sons friends who want drawings of everything. My son is my manager when it comes to drawings. He gets the list and passes it on to me to do the work. I must admit, I am a little behind on it :) |
